Our Story
Established in 2017, The Eamonn Fallon Goalkeeper Charity was set up in memory of Eamonn Fallon; a loved Gaelic football and soccer goalkeeper who unfortunately passed away in Australia, aged only 31. Eamonn loved coaching and working with children, so the family thought that setting up a charity to give back to the community and help children develop through sport, was the best way to keep Eamonn remembered in the things that he enjoyed the most.
Our Aims
We aim to facilitate developing healthy lifestyles, individual self-confidence, team building and social skills
of children and teenagers,
regardless of background, through the utilisation of sport as a learning tool. We help to provide equipment and coaching on sporting activities both individually and within teams.
Here are just some of the support initiatives we have been involved with:
- Providing weekly goalkeeper training sessions
- Running goalkeeper & netball training camps during school holidays
- Replacing a pair of stolen football boots for a young girl who was signed for Leicester City
- Supplying medals, trophies, and equipment as well as funding coaching for numerous clubs
- Helping towards a club's Astro Turf development
- Supporting a local food bank that was broken into and all of its' stock was stolen
To date, we have assisted many children and supported numerous clubs across England. And we would love to keep supporting more!
